Popcorn

My Kaysie loves popcorn and I love to share my popcorn with her, but a friend of mine told me popcorn is bad for dogs and I shouldn't give it to her. Does anyone know if this will hurt her?

That's a new one on me. Anyone else heard this? More importantly can anyone substantiate this?

I searched and could not find anything where popcorn was a toxin to dogs. Of course with a lot of butter & salt it probably wouldn't be great. I myself share popcorn with Gracie but use a hot air popper, she gets the plain stuff before butter is added.
Actually I think she enjoys watching it pop more than eating it.
While doing the popcorn search I did come across where grapes could be toxic if a dog ate a large quanity. Now I know I have given Gracie grapes, but just 3 or 4. If you had grapes growing in the yard I would be extra cautious. Grapes is something I didn't know about.

Thanks for the info. I will have to watch the grapes, my children love grapes and have a tendancy to share whatever they eat with Kaysie but I wouldn't think she gets that many to cause her any danger. If you guys do find anything on popcorn, keep me updated.
