Photo Challenge #204 - Motion/Moving Target

Didn't find this on the previous challenge list but may have missed it.

Anyway.... after trying and failing on Saturday night to get some decent pics of an owl who swoops in over our back garden at dusk most nights i was left cursing my limited skills; trying to capture a rapidly moving target in fading light.

So this weeks challenge is all about movement/motion, a bird in flight, a newf at full sprint (well, in their head anyway), a busy road at night. Its a difficult skill and one i can't help but admire. Challenge will end Sunday 17th July. Best of luck!!

The 2 T's messing around

Not necessarily a newf in motion...but a child...:D Gotta love his expression. This was Tsunami on his 1st B-day.

Not official entries

My friend "Aunt" Ellen recently gave me her old camera. It has a Sports Continuous I have been playing with. Anyway here are some recent shots.

Manfred the Varmint running.

Snuffles girl friend Bojangles who moved to China last Sept, and came back to the USA in May and soon to move to Chile was in town last week. I went with them to the dog park and got these two shots. The second is a Great Dane named Alice Cooper.

Hahahaha! Looks like he was a little wary of what was running around behind him! Too cute! Do I pose for the pic or do I join my two legged sister?

This one always makes me laugh! Tech (tabby kitten) was bedeviling poor Tobias, on Toby's first day home. Somehow, I caught him in this pose, as he was pouncing.

We call this one "Lucy Linebacker". Caught her full-on tackling Maggie for a toy football.

My little Gusty girl trotting on by with the wind in her mane.

Ebony going after her jollyball. That toy always brought out the puppy and prey drive in her!

A few weeks ago I went to a Western reining competition to watch my friends compete.

The first photo I think shows speed, power and concentration on the part of both the horse as well as the rider.

The second photo is of a Medieval Faire that my husband and I attended yesterday. This is a photo I took just prior to the jousting competitions.
