Panda vet visit results

Just a note to let everyone know that Panda's vet visit was a success in one way and not so good in another. The GOOD news is that her Heartworm test was negative.
After talking to the rescue chair we decided to go with the negative. Of 5 tests in 6 weeks 4 were negative and one was positive. So no heartworm treatments for Panda to endure. She is scheduled to be spay on July 9th.

The bad news is she has a Urinary Tract Infection.
She is on Baytrill 136 mg a day for 2 weeks. We also ran a complete CBC/profile and a thyroid test. I will keep you posted on the results as I get them. Keep your fingers crossed for Panda.

We will certainly keep our fingers crossed that the other tests come back fine. As for the UTI, I'm sure you know this but Panda should be getting follow up UA's to see if it cleared. Once, we had Malia on antibiotics for about 5 months or so for her UTI that just wouldn't go away. We just turned in a sample today to make sure she doesn't have one. She goes in for her hip surgery this Friday and we need to be sure her urine is clean.

Just an update that Panda's CBC/profile blood work came back with everything normal. It will be about 2 weeks for the results of the thyroid
