Glad she is doing well...Dexter is doing great...he gets a bit of spunk every now and then...runs, chases the other two dogs...yesterday, he got into our puppy food vault! The lid was off, the bucket was pushed into the other room and he was laying happily full next to it when we came in from outside. Bad doggy! LOL

Nana is 12 and 1/2, sometimes I notice she is slowing down and other times she wants to be leader of the pack. This girl my first Newf is the most wonderful thing in my life, she makes me smile. Emma my other girl is 9 and of course now is fully recovered all the cruciate operations, she has been a perfect patient. Bear my foster is 11 and he is just a joy wants to be with me all the time. I think my gang are just fine.

My Calza just turned 7 and she still has a lot of spunk. Got the zoomies when I cam home from lunch. Still chases squirrels, rabbits and other critters.

Maybe because she's the first Newf that I've had without orthopedic issues.

There were times I didn't think I would be posting this but, today my special love, Max turns 10. He sleeps a bit more, but is still up for a good squirrel chase (they had better be old, slow squirrels;) His arthritis is managed with meds; we found out recently that he has bursitis in one shoulder and he has DM but, so far he is still reasonably active. From the first time I saw him and every day since, Max makes my heart smile. I love you baby boy:heart:

Just checking in on everyones seniors, how are they in this heat? I know Piggyluv would have not done well this summer.

My girls do not like this heat and I keep them in the a/c. With Nana being so old I worry and mostly take her out after the sun is down and a little cooler.

glad you enjoy it Nina , although I have 2 seniors and two youngins I still love sharing and hearing everyone stories. A senior newf or Pyr is the wisdom and life line of our breeds, it teaches folks with young ones so much , for one day theirs will be seniors to love and cherish......and the circle continues
