We're in (Vin's already making plans) but I'm not really sure how to tell the east coast to get ready for a dang earthquake
Where's Mike??? Hoping he's coming with Tiki too! Oh and Court you can newf sit while Vin & I ride our bikes (He's on some type of health kick
)
Woo hoo! I'll get to meet Zeke and Myra, and you'll get to meet... The car you so graciously helped me buy? I'm obviously getting the better deal here. :)

Just called to book, but no one answered. I'll call again tomorrow if I don't hear back. Can't wait!

Okay what dates are we planning this??? We now have a newf and can participate :)

YAY!!! Its such a good time! Its October 25th-October 27th...

We usually do a potluck and everyone brings a dish so that we can all hang and eat together. We would also like to do some type of raffle so we can possibly donate something to a newf resuce but we can figure those details in a few weeks. :)
Very Important though! if you have a puppy and don't want to do stairs, ask for a ground unit!! They have no elevators!!

First floor one bedroom pet-friendly condos are all booked according to Chris, the new manager. I had to go to the second floor room 209, but I don't mind because Chumley is more than capable of climbing stairs, plus you can see the ocean from the 2nd floor (beautiful, beautiful sunrises when it's not snowing or blowing hurricane force winds). If anyone is wondering which rooms are pet friendly or which rooms have which amenities...here's the link.

just click the photo button for amenities for one bedroom, two bedroom, one bedroom deluxe, etc.
He also told me you can make your reservations online which is new.

Good Idea, Stacy putting the link! When you guys book your rooms, can you list your room number so we have a list of all that are coming. I know there are 6 rooms already booked.
I am room 104 :)

I'm 106. I think they've either given a bigger discount, or the prices have gone down slightly.

So excited! Should we start a food list?? Or just wing it?? And anyone have ideas as what we can do as far as raffles. I am certainly not versed enough to pull off the success that we had in the past! I am not nearly that good! But I will try to plan something.. Small raffle... or something just so we can contribute something to a newf rescue.. Thoughts? Ideas?

We should probably start a new thread; we can add attendees to the first page as we hear about them.

We should still do the potluck, maybe the first night we can all brink snacks and beverages and just meet up in the courtyard as we arrive? Sunday we did a breakfast, I think Sue S. did it one year, we collected money and then someone can bring stuff. Depending on how many come, we could just organize/pay as we arrive, and then someone can run out and get stuff from the grocery store.

My clan of teenagers are anxious to see Joe at the Deli counter again. The last year we were there, I left them alone for 5 minutes, then turned back around to see them standing with their arms around some stranger, taking pictures. :!rolling:

I just realized they have BBQ's, maybe we should have plans to use a few on the Sunday as long as there's no Nor' easter/Hurricane/Earthquake or meteor that takes out the world. I was thinking I'll grab a couple dozen Manhatten Bagels on my run down and I'm sure I'll come up with something for Sat nite. Jess, you better make that Pulled Pork again....I LOVE IT!

Won't YOU be able to watch?? You're coming, right??

And Jess, I was going to make bbq beef, but if you're making pulled pork, I'll do something else.

I'm really thinking about it. My husband won't be able to come (he can't take that Friday off) and I'm a little nervous to do the 8 hour drive with Elvis by myself.

I was the same way with traveling to Canada and Ohio by myself so I enlisted my sister to come with and help with Chumley. He was quite a handful when he was one and two years old. My sister moved away so I've enlisted my mom to help, but she can't hold Chumley anymore. He knocked her over and broke her elbow at the Ocean City get together 2 yrs. ago. I still bring her for company on those long drives. Maybe you could find someone other than Carl to go with you too?

Kathy moved?! Bum.

Maggie, I'll be driving a little over two hours with my Maggie and at least three teenagers. I would LOVE to have an 8 hour drive with just my dog. :!rolling:
