Nose Coloration, what is normal?

I have been patiently waiting for this day to come, having placed a deposit on my puppy almost 8 weeks before she was even born and I am only 4 weeks away from being able to bring her home. I just got to see her, in person, for the first time. She is a black newfie, mom is also black and dad is a landseer. Her nose has a good bit of pink on it and the breeder has assured me that it will change to black as she gets a little older. I am not worried about it cosmetically but I want to make sure that it isn't a sign of an underlying medical issue, as in all of my research, I have not found anything about the topic. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on the subject?

We had a shepherd/lab mix once that came with a black nose (he was about10 months when we got him from a shelter). At some point it seemed the color rubbed off his nose in a little spot and never came back. I know it's not the same as your case, but he was always healthy until he was a very old man dog.

I'm very excited for you about your pup!!

Is she a mismark that she has a pink nose? An all black puppy should have an all black nose.

I'm not really sure. I don't think I would mind if she is a mismark since I will not be breeding and am buying her as a companion. I'm feeling uneasy because the breeder did not just present the oddity as that. I am going to take pictures to my vets office today to ask his opinion. I just want to make sure that she is healthy.

Have you seen her? Is she all black coat or some white as well?
If you have any doubts about the breeder, then walk away!

. I also don't like the fact that you put down a deposit 8 weeks before the litter was born.
Same here. This was a huge red flag to me....I don't know any breeder who takes deposits before the litter is born.

The reason that I gave a deposit ahead of time was to reserve first choice when then the puppies were born and I wouldn't have questioned the breeder at all before I saw the puppy and the questions with the nose came up, they are long time friends of my fathers. The good news is that I had a lengthy consultation with my vet today, as well as speaking to another breeder today and my questions have been answered. The is no concern with the pink spots on her nose, they will most likely turn black and they are most likely just a trait that she share with her landseer father and brothers and sister. The breeder has promised my money back, in full, if after being seen by a vet, it is determined to be health related. It may be an undesirable trait but I am willing to live with it if that is all it is. Thank you to everyone who took interest and the time to reply.
