Hello All-

I'm MGoBlue's husband, Chris, but better known as Carmen's dad.

Like my wife, I'm an engineer who graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Obviously, I love dogs, especially Newfs.

I've been lurking since we got Carmen in December and decided to finally join.

It seems that Chris hasn't checked this in awhile, so I'll relieve you of the suspense...
"Feuervogel" is German for "Firebird."
No, he's not a car nut.
We're both classical music nuts (hence our pup's name, "Carmen" from the Bizet opera.)
"The Firebird," by Igor Stravinsky is Chris' favorite classical suite. Have you ever seen Disney's Fantasia 2000? An Excerpt from "The Firebird" is the finale (the one with the deer and the sprite and the Phoenix-lava that erupts from the volcano...)
Why did he translate it to German? I don't know. He speaks the language and he thinks it's cool, I guess...
But Feuervogel is also our home email address, and I can't tell you how frustrated family members get when they want to email us and can't remember how to spell it!
