Where in the world is Nessa?????? I tried waiting patiently to hear about the baby, the puppies and everything else associated with her but I haven't seen anything. I thought I may see something on her blog but no. Hopefully everything is fine but I sure miss her. I always look to her for a good laugh.

Heather, she's on FB a good deal. Are you friends with her there? If not, I'll send you a link to her page and you can send her a Friend Request! :)

AND...where are pics of YOUR baby? Hmmmmmmmmmmm?????

I just wasn't able to post a picture. I know I'm not stupid but I sure couldn't get it to work. I'll take pictures and put them on FB this weekend.

I must say Rooney is a handful....Whew!!! I love him to death and he loves me but he NEVER stops getting into things. Unless it's me, boys are much more active.

Nessa is doing just fine, she's just busy being a milk maid to the little dude. Her son, Rhys, is freaking adorable and looks a lot like his papa. Sandy and Nessa are amazing parents and you can see that Rhys is happy, healthy, and growing like a weed. Pooks and Nookins are very good big brothers and are very gentle around the baby. I'm sure once life calms down she'll post more often on NN, but they are still feeding through the night and whatnot, so I'm sure she tries to sleep while she can.

I asked on FB how Pooka was doing a week or so ago and she said he hadn't quite finished the medicine. Anyone heard since then

Usually I can catch her in the middle of the night on FB. LOL She does post during the day too, but not as often.

Heather...in our house the girls have been more active, and more hard headed and independent. But yes, up to a year they're all hand-fulls.

Donna, I agree...Tess is very independent and hard headed. Rooney is the most loving pup I've ever had. He's a water dog for sure and loves to swim with his bumpers. He also has selected hearing and won't stay off of Tess. She grumbles but has not put him in his place yet. I'm just waiting for her to do something. You can really tell that he loves us but he loves me the most!!!Ha, ha-ha...That's unusual because all of our previous dogs like Mike the best.
I want to say that he's house-trained but whenever I think he is he has an accident. I sure don't feel comfortable giving him free rein of the house. He chews everything. Like I said I'll try to send pics this weekend. Grandkids are coming over.....

Oh, and Emmie Lou - Pooka's tick titers came back all negative. His blood came back with his liver and kidney functions improved. Urine still diluted. We're waiting on the urine culture results. After that, no idea what to test next.

Meanwhile, his behind is looking much better. If the swellings don't all go down in the next few days though I'm going to have them biopsied. Because I'm neurotic.

Considering having him neutered if it turns out the rear-end swellings are related to his intact status. Must discuss with his vet and with his breeder. My poor boy was so uncomfortable when they were enormous. (some of them were the size of eggs!)

And, I confess to being the parent who let her baby cry in his swing while she took care of her dog's behind...

Glad things are improvig for Pooka and there is nothing wrong IMO with letting a baby cry once in a while. They too need to learn the world does not always jump at their bidding- and I HOPE everyone realizes I mean when you are sure they don't have a problem that needs looking after!!!!!

btw ... gotta love the mechanical swing! That was always good for a two hour nap. it was a terrible day when they outgrew it (and it began to tip over because they were so heavy). I got a antique iron weight to try to weigh it down for just a few more weeks ... :)
