I was pleasantly surprised, when I got my x-rays to send into OFA, to find out my vet switched to digital!! :)
Now I guess I get to just send them the CD instead of having to worry about bending actual X-rays :) :) Planning on mailing them in tomorrow!

YAY!

Sending in Mousse's hip rads to OFA for the prelims. Her patellas came back normal. :)

What do you all think!?!

I'm by no means an expert, but I think they look pretty normal. the ball seems so sit well in the socket, and it looks like there is decent coverage over the ball on the top one, and I don't see anything like a spur. I'd be curious to know the results once they've been evaluated by someone who knows what they are looking at.

Finally got the results from OFA! She was rated Good.

I'm trying to setup an appointment for heart screening and I'm unsure what I'm supposed to get done exactly.

Based on the form from OFA it looks like they need to get an Echo with doppler?

What's the usual cost for this? I just called to get my cats screened for HCM and they said just an Echo is $500.00 (including office visit).

Then told me heart screening for adult dogs and puppies is only $60.00 each.

I'm assuming they have no idea what I'm talking about, which is concerning because it's a Cardiologist.

OFA does not require a Doppler. That is up to the cardiologist if he thinks it is necessary. Was her 10 wk cardiac screening normal? Are you going to breed her?
