I had the pleasure of hearing all about Ebony's progress at our Annual Awards Party recently. Here's her story if you haven't read it yet...http://www.newf.net/Forums/showthread.php?t=109690

Here's the latest update from her foster mom on her final dental surgery and her reentry back into the world of living and loving. Merry Christmas little girl!

Today Ebony had her second and final dental surgery. She had 2 root canals and 6 extractions today. This time seems to be going so much better than the last time. I have gotten her to take her pain meds tonight (thanks to Gary and his liverwerst suggestion), and she has eaten a small meal. I got a bonus when I went to pick her up --- she actually seemed happy to see me :)

Ebony continues to show her incredible courage. On Monday she had her second dental surgery --- on Tuesday night when I got home, as I greeted my dog as I normally do, I looked over to see Ebony watching and walking cautiously toward us, with a little coaxing she actually came over and greeted me at the door (first time) . It was the highlight of my day. On Wednesday morning, I was sitting on the floor giving Kenzi some lovin, I looked up to see Ebony walking over to see if she could be a part of it. Her spirit is AMAZING on a regular basis --- To be a first hand witness has been an amazing experience that I never expected

I'm so happy for her but on the other hand I could cry my eyes out for the horrible hand she was dealt. Give her big hugs and kisses from me. (((HUGS)))
