LOST - BLACK NEWFOUNDLAND MALE


Moses was lost Saturday 9/28 about 10:15 am in the Mud Mountain Recreation Area near Enumclaw, WA hiking near the Rim Trail.

He was wearing a collar with tags and is microchipped.

I feel so sorry for them!! I do not know what I would do if we lost Sully!!!!

Moses has been found. He got trapped in the wilderness and they are working on getting to him to get him out.

I just saw these on Facebook:

"Ongoing now: rescue of a 140 lb Newfoundland dog who went over a cliff in Enumclaw on Saturday. The dog, Moses, has an injured leg but is in good spirits. WASART is on the way, with an assist from Seattle Mountain Rescue and King County 4x4. This is the same area we rescued another dog in July 2012. More information as it's relayed."

and then:

"Update from the team in Enumclaw rescuing the Newfoundland: one person is rigged with harness, ropes, and helmet and has been let over the cliff. The dog is at the bottom, barking and walking around. That seems to be a good sign and we are hoping to have him up soon"

and this was just posted 10 minutes ago:

"Update on the Newfoundland rescue: the dog (Moses) is strapped to a litter and is about ready to be hoisted up in the next 15 minutes or so. About 15 rescuers on site, will post photos when they are available."

Such a relief he is ok but such a scary situation.

Moses is home safe. He was weak and wet but not injured.

Moses was rescued by the Washington State Animal Response Team with assist from the agencies mentioned above.
