Katala has passed

This fall we lost Katala, the brown in my avatar. She was 14 years and 4 months. She had melanoma and that caught up with her. She passed in peace under a tree on a sunny day. I miss her terribly; she was my friend and my shadow and got me through some tough times.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. That was a fantastic age to achieve. I'm sure you will have great memories to carry you forward.

Art, I just saw this. So sorry that Katala is gone. She lived a long life! Didn't she have a sight problem?

Jeannie, she was our sighted one. Kilrain was our pup that was blind. He just passed about 6 weeks back, haven't posted yet. It has been a tough 18 months for us. Lost both pups, Sharon's dad, Sharon's uncle, cataract surgery, elbow surgery, and my best friend from K-12. Been a rough patch.
