Introducing Juno

Well I'm old news on NN but I'd like to introduce the new man in my life...Juno.

Juno is a 4.5 year old boy, who made the trip to the Cape from Maryland, in a snow/ice storm with his entourage of 3 staff members. He is a private adoption through the efforts of the Colonial Newf Club (many thanks to those that helped this happen, you are all awesome.)

Juno's Mom was a CNC member who passed away, sadly, a few days after Christmas. She was a well loved member of CNC and had a soft spot for rescue since Juno had come to her as a rescue.

Thank you to CNC, Judy VanDyke, Trish Fornadley, Sandy Dugan, Bonnie's dear friend and executor and Sandy's sister, Donna Pearman, who will be guardian for Juno's 'sister' Sugar Bear, who made sure Juno was able to stay with Bonnie through her illness and passing and who braved the weather to assure that Bonnie's last wishes for Juno were completed.

Thank you Bonnie, Juno is home...let the next leg of his journey begin.

Here is a picture of Bonnie with Juno on the right and SugarBear, her 12 yo Newf/Berner in happier times.

Juno was recognized at the 2012 National's Rescue Parade and as you can see he loved being the center of attention.

Tricia! I love that he is with you! I so vividly remember seeing those two in the rescue parade at the National! Of course, I was sobbing. But I was right there in back of them in the tent and I saw them do their little lap. KISSES AND HUGS! I can't think of a better person for him to be with! xoxo

Sad when I read or hear of owners passing, but it's wonderful people like you that bring these pups into their new, loving, and forever homes. Congratulations :)

Thank you for sharing that story Meg! There are big pieces of his history that went with Bonnie, so I have lots of questions that will go unanswered. There is quite a story to how he happened to get here, but I know Bonnie was pulling some strings (as were his human 'angels.') I am so in love with this boy. LuLu is coping with losing her status as the only Newf and Lili thinks he's getting entirely too much attention.

ShelbysMomma...I'm in Mashpee on John's Pond. We're neighbors! PM me if you want to arrange a playdate.
