As the line from "Independence Day" goes; "Im Baaaaccccckkkkkk!". After being missing for a while recovering from a Stroke I suffered in Dec 2013, I have recovered sufficiently enough to feel comfortable re-joining the group.

I am currently finishing up my stay at the VA's Blind Rehabilitation Center, in Hines, IL. I will be without a computer for a couple of weeks untikl they ship this one to my home and I can get it set up. So is I don't answer for a little while forgive me, as I will be computerless for about two weeks.

I lost the vision in my right eye, and some in my left. I have also lost some of my memory, but remember the fun of NewfNet, so I've managed to find my way back here. Hope all of my NN friends are doing well, and the Newfies also.

I want to thank everyone whom sent a note or helpd out. It was surely appreciated, and gave me a warm feeling, knowing that I had so many cyber friends out there. For quite a while, I just was not mentally able to do many things people take for granted, and my computer skills were non-exhistant. The VA Rehap Center has helped tremendously, and I now feel comfortable using computers and other technology.

Anyway, to update myself, I still have 3 Newfies;

Mrs Trumbles Oreo Cookie RN TD CGCA (Oreo) 9 years
Ricky Ricardo's Cuban Congaboy CGCA (Ricky)
Blackwatch's DesiLu I'm The Only One CGCA TD (Tigger)

Ethel May Dakota Bear WD RE TD CGCA passed away due to cancer.

So I'll be checking in again soon after I get my computer set up at home. Happy to be back, and re-connect with my friends again.

WOW! Been kind of wondering. Even looked to see if you were Facebook active, and found nothing. Sorry to hear about the stroke and its complications. Glad you are getting some skills back. be looking forward to seeing more from you.

Snuffles sure has had some issues since early Sept. You can test your skills on newf.net to see what happened. But now, he is doing pretty well for having a bum back left leg. I don't think I mentioned it here yet, but we are starting a tear production med study. He had to be off antibiotics for a length of time, and now we are in the "flush out" stage of the med he was on. We find out Wed if we are eligible for the Study.

Again, great to see you back!

So.....So very happy to hear from you. You have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard about the stroke. So glad your doing better and have decided to be among friends :) Happy to have you back Commander!!!!

A very warm welcome back!!!! We missed you so much. Newf Net hasn't been the same without you. Please don't let anything hinder you from chiming in when you can. Just want you back among us again.
