My girl Nana will be 12 in March and she is great. Sometimes a little unsteady on her feet but she never wants to be left behind. She is the love of my life along with her companion Emma who is 9. These old girls make my life complete

Hi
Timber is still going along pretty good. She'll be 9 years and 6 months next week! She`s had 4 radiation and 3 chemo treatments in the last 3 months and I still see a wagging tail and a sparkle in the eyes. She sends a big `WOOF` out to everyone!
Marina
sorry the pic is so big - I`m still figuring this out!

Hi Timber , your looking good!!!! I think about Timber alot. That is a wondrful pic, she looks great for her age.I adore those soulful senior eyes. Thanks for your replies, Ive been missing having a senior around, Gigi and Gunther are 8 and 9 but still like puppies. They dont have the soul of a senior like some other newfies, not yet atleast. Hugs to all

Gracie is 12 yr and 3 1/2 months and is doing soooo well, a bit slow, looks a bit like a yak with her long fur, loves to bring her toys after breakfast and supper, she gets a treat for each one. I'm really lucky.
She gets 2 Microlactin morning and evening and Arnica at bedtime.

Hugo, 12, is thriving. He seems to have gotten a little strength back in his rear legs and hasn't been falling down as much as he was. Or maybe he's learning to balance himself better. Either way, his spirit is never daunted and although he can't pull some of his old tricks, he still has that mischievous twinkle in his eye. He tosses his toys around like a puppy and tries to play with Piper. I've caught him sitting in his wing back chair a couple of times. How he gets up there, I don't know, but it's always been his favorite spot for watching the neighborhood goings on. His eyesight is failing, but his hearing is perfect. I can still get him to follow commands from across the room, but he's slow at getting up.

He never fails to amaze me and I love him more than ever.

Samantha, 14 yrs 2 mo, is doing OK. I've gotten a sling that she wears all the time so I can help her up. She is starting to bark for no reason, just lays and barks. Sara did that same thing. She is not panting when she is relaxed but does so when she is moving. I don't think she is in pain but just cannot get around easily. She still eats, needs to be in the middle of customers and seems to know what is going on around her. She can potty without falling and is able to hold it over night. Sometimes I feel her days her numbered, but I cannot make that decision when she is attentive and eating. IMO just because she needs help up and walks slowly limping on her right front is not cause to put her down. Sometimes she has a hard time getting her rear end stablized under her but if I steady her for a few seconds she is fine.

Echo is still here. In fact, although I would have bet all sorts of money against it, she will be 13 on March 1, and I feel sure she will make it. She's been day-to-day off an on for well over a year. She has worn her sling for well over 3 years. She blew out one knee and the repair did not heal well. When the other knee went (at 9) we used a sling and the knee healed better than the one we had operated on, but it got weaker and after about a year we went with the sling nearly full time. She's been totally dependent on it for about 2-1/2 years. Oh, yes, and she's also almost totally blind, mostly from cataracts that she has had all her life. She still loves to eat, likes to be in on the "conversation". Loves to "take in the air" in the back yard. Was trying to make puppy angels in the snow the other day. So, we're going to have a big party on the 1st of March and go from there.

I am so glad the seniors are doing mostly well :)

Have any of the senior owners considered stem cell therapy?? I am just studying so much ortho at present and reading so much about the wonders of Stem-cell therapy
