Hotel Information for the Ocean City MD GTG in October

Since there are people who are still interested in attending, and the Windjammer is almost at capacity, here are some nearby hotels that are dog-friendly.

Please let me know if you'll be attending, and where you'll be staying (and what room!)

We spend most of the day and night (weather permitting) in the outside sandy courtyard facing the beach, so the only thing the rooms are used for is sleeping.

So please come! Here is the current hotel information:

THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO HAVE CANCELLED (TWO THAT I KNOW OF) SO THOSE TWO ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE). ONE IS A STUDIO (OCEAN FRONT) AND ONE IS A SECOND FLOOR UNIT.


THERE ARE NUMEROUS NON PET FRIENDLY ROOMS AVAILABLE! SO IF YOU'RE COMING PETLESS...JUST TELL THEM!

ALTERNATES:

Here are three pet friendly hotels nearby. None are far ... no more than 2-3 minutes by car or perhaps 10-15 if you walk the beach from one to the other.

In addition to being located only about 400 feet from the beach, this hotel offers a large outdoor pool and private balconies for all units. Dogs are allowed for no additional fee. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. They are allowed on the beach from October 1st through to May 1st.

Dogs of all sizes are allowed. Dogs are allowed for a pet fee of $35.00 per pet per night.

Thanks, Donna - If I could pawn my kids off, I would take the Studio, but we are going to try one of the other hotels.

The Barefoot Mailman was my second choice for the GTG the first year. It has no pet fee, and rates are very reasonable.

The only difference is it doesn't have the "courtyard" for gathering. That's the only reason I selected the Windjammer instead.

Stacy's sister (chumleysaunt) posted in the other thread that she has stayed there and they're VERY dog friendly, and it's a great place to stay.

The rates are very reasonable and it's only a minute or so drive from one to the other, at that time of year. In the summer, it can take much longer since you move at a crawl from all the traffic. LOL

Studio 305 is now taken at Windjammer. Clifford, my husband and I are going and can't wait. I've seen the photos from the past and it looks great.
