The other day when I was in a pet supply store, I happened to notice that they had a series of homeopathic remedies. Behaviour/anxiety/stress; Worm Removal and Prevention; Recovery/Health/Healing; Skin & Coat Allergies; Senior Pets, etc.. The website is www.HomeoPet.com. Has anyone here had any experience with any of these products? While I have an interest in homeopathy in general, I am particularly interested in any product, preferrably natural, that will ease Caera's anxiety in car. I recently tried Rescue Remedy and it didn't seem to have any beneficial effect at all.

Did you give her enough? With Newf sized dogs you often need a dropperful or more.

I've never heard of them...but I did just read something about another "calming" natural product. Can't remember it right now tho....

I only have the spray. I gave her double what I would take for myself. Granted, it may not have been enough, but the search for a safe and effective product continues.

I have used Rescue remedy for Bär for seperation & car anxienty. I used to give him a full dropper full to start, then when he showed improvement I gave a half dropper full. This is the drops not the spray.
I am down to a quater dropper for seperation anxiety now & none for the car.

I tried the anxiety with Adam for his behavior anxiety. It didn't work at all. I also tried it with Sara for travel anxiety and it didn't work either. I gave a LOT of it. My vet even got upset with the amount I gave.

I use rescue remedy a lot, the drops.....I use the adult dose. it does not work for every person/dog, but most. It worked really well on my rescue Zacky.
If you have a planned trip, try use some chamomile for a while in their food. About a teaspoon of the dried herb, or a teabag in the food. You could make a strong tea and add it to food. We just mix it dry. We use it for nervy horses (arabs) in training, a hand full per day and when we first get our rescue dogs. i use a lot of homeopathy and herbal medicine and I have found it helpful, Ronnie

have you tried either valerian in a liquid form or skullcap and valerian in a tablet form as these really work with Jessie's anxieties

Hmmmmm, I used to have valerian around when I was in Toronto and still working. I was a terrible insomniac and the valerian helped. Haven't had it around since then though, but will definitely see if I can find some. Thanks for reminding me about valerian, Victoria.
