Okay the consensus is Zymox. The maintenance stuff my vet gave me has hydrocortisone in it so I wonder if it's similar to Zynox.

Blue Power and Pet King okay two websites to check out.

Yes I do remember Annabelle's ear problems.

My vet put the Newfs on Medi-Cal vegetarian. He's the one that said it's the food as he's the one who did the cultures. I had a choice of kangaroo which was so not going to happen here (sorry I just can't wrap my brain around that one).

If I can find a good Natural Balance food I will be very happy with that.

This place is just a well of knowledge. Thanks guys.

We've had our fun times with ear problems. We found that feeding a 0% grain food will solve it, (we do Taste of the Wild Salmon). Even a single piece of bread and my boy will get an ear infection, within a day. When we were first battling ear problems, we did use a perscription RX (I'm sorry don't know which one), perhaps just to get it under control. BUt the diet has worked since then. We do also give organic yogurt for probiotics, I know that helps human children avoid ear infections and colds, so I figure it surely helps the fur babies too in that regard.
