I'm not sure what to feed jordan. I think she has pano She is on nutro for large breed puppies- 3 cups 2 x a day. She is 6 months=75 lbs. she is active but does seem to get up slowly- we never notice her with pain- the obedience school noticed this slowness. Vet just put her on an antioxident.twice daily. what to feed her?? how much. she always seems so hungry== she loves cheese.

I found out at this website that nutro lg. breed puppy is meant for goldens, labs, that size of puppy. It's too high in protein and fat, besides the fact that it's made with junk in my opinion. It's what I had my puppy on.

I've switched to Wellness Super 5. deboned chicken and fish. 22percent protein and I think 12 percent fat. I feed my 9 month old 100 lb. 3 cups morning and 3 c night. I fill in with apples, brocolli, cauliflour, pears, etc. for snacks to keep her full.

Some here use Biljac, California, wysong, etc. Look them up on the net and you'll see they all have low protein and fat to slow down the growth. Linda

Our 6 month old, I think also has pano. But we have been adding meat and fish to each meal. I just looked up a few different dog foods. We use wellness the type we use has 22% protein, flint river ranch, which our breeder suggested but gave Brady terrible diarrhea was 23% protein and the bil jac also is 23%. This was according to the various web sites. So no more extras, maybe once a week or so.

If you guys have been watching sydney growing up, you will notice how slow he is growing in height, and how nicely he is filling out....still feel the ribs easily on him though.....
we require out puppy buyers to feed the wysong synorgen food, and it does help tremendously.
everyone has their own opinions on what works, i had a male newf live to 13 years and 2 months, he was fed from 5 years old on, the wysong synorgen and 1/4 canned wysong meat, all thru his life, no need for senior formula, and was healthy as a horse, he was nuetered at 5 years, and still maintained a great weight, i was still able to feel his ribs even after the nueter.
i do not feed raw, that is my choice, i do not see enough evidance it is any better than our commercial diets, i have seen just as many promising newfs on raw diet end up with allergies etc... health problems that it does not convince me it is any better.....
just my 2 cents worth.
