Thanks Angela, I had already checked out their FB page and "liked" it so I could watch for events, but I will contact them :)

And YAY! Excuse to hang out at dog shows *G*

Ian Dunbar is retiring. At least from traveling seminars. Here's a list of the cities he's going to be at for his final road trip.

So if you ever want to see him in person, now's your last chance. I was lucky enough to attend one of his two day seminars here in KC. Love his Dog Star Daily website, too.

Welcome! I also joined here over a year (maybe 2?) before I got my first newf. This is a great place to learn and be sure to take the time to look through the archives, searching any keywords you can think of because it's like an encyclopedia of newf-specific information and discussion.

PS, it took us two years to bring our Newf home, between finding a breeder (who didn't have a litter planned for right away), failed attempts, and then the whole pregnancy and birth. Make sure you do your research. Body structure (conformation) and a friendly, sweet personality (temperament) are always important, but especially in a breed as large as a newf. I firmly believe that it's a dangerous choice to bargain-hunt with these guys because an irresponsibly bred newf can be a serious danger. And with 5 years to research, you can really take the time to do all the research in the world. It's a wonderful opportunity to be thorough!

The training team at the place I take my dog for daycare (and previously training classes) were lucky enough to have met Ian Dunbar and do a private seminar. Very lucky of them :)
