Our little LuLu Belle has started her second heat cycle...the first one was pretty uneventful when she was 11 months old...now she is 18 months and she is bleeding pretty heavy...I have tried to put on diapers but she just rips them off...have any of you tried and been successful with these things...I have (gross) blood drips all over my floors...she does try to keep herself clean but I think it is too heavy right now...and before anyone of you ask...I do plan on having her spayed after her 2nd birthday...

Not much you can do except confine her to a smaller area. Easier to clean.

I can't confine my little girl...after she was stung by who knows what she just barks and barks if I try to crate her...and my house is open concept except for the bathrooms and that room is just to small for her to be closed in...so I guess I will just have to endure...I do have wood floors so that is a plus...

how about men's boxers or even boxer briefs that would be more snug? You can put a maxi pad inside.

Or an ex-pen instead of a crate?

I was going to suggest an x-pen too. When mine were pups i could put them in it and they were near me wherever.

I will try the boxers...didn't think to do that...she will probably pull them off though...but thanks for the suggestions...

Duct tape around over the shorts around her belly, not too tight but so she can't pull them off.

I don't think the duct tape will work...she is going potty many more times per day than usual...also pooping...every time she pees she now poops...poor little girl...it must be missing up her system pretty good...she looks at me like MOM fix this...

It should not be that much of a problem. If you are still having problems afterwards you may want to see if she has a UTI. She should not be pooping more though. Also it is a good idea to spay in between heat sessions. So spaying in 3 months would be better than waiting until she is 2, when she would be going into her third season.

I use a Four Paws sanitary belts with pads. They're small, vinyl, and easy to put on. None of mine have tried to get them off. I'd recommend getting a bright color rather than the black so that you don't forget it's there and allow her to potty with it on. The link shows a picture, but get the XL not x-small!
