Groomer in for a surprise?

I found a groomer running a special, $5.00 off per dog on your first visit. Mousse is going to get her OFA prelims done on Monday so I wanted her to be clean anyway and I haven't had the time to groom them, so it worked out perfectly.

So I went to her site and talked with her via email. The price is $20.00 for dogs over 50 lbs and $5.00 off per dog.

I'll be dropping off the pups Saturday morning for a day of washing and drying and brushing.

The damage... A grand total of $30.00! Not to shabby!

I'm half expecting her jaw to drop when I walk in with Newfoundlands lol. We'll see what she says :)

They have a professional website and different tiers for grooming. I just choose the brush out, wash, and dry because I can clip on my own.

I always stress the fact that I do not want my dogs shaved several times whenever I use a groomer :)

Ill post pics when they come home :)

Ans yeah, I'm in rochester. They are about 30min south of me :) where are you?

I am in Jersey, so not really anywhere close enough to actually go to Rochester for a grooming. But even for a wash, dry and brushing, $30 sounds like a good deal. Can't wait to see pictures!

Now I'm skeptical. Its been 3 1/2 hours and she said she's done with the newfs AND my moms yorkie (shave and bath and nails).

*sigh* now I can almost bet they are either wet or she spritzed them with some smell good stuff and said "done"...
It takes me over an hour per dog... hmmm

Almost there. Will update when I get them!

If they have a good dryer and know what they're doing, I'm not surprised that they're done in 3,5 hours. Hope you get them back in a superb shape :).

I need to eat my words... she did a great job! Dogs are nice, clean, and fluffy!! A little damp because she made the mistake of giving newfies a big bowl of water after they were dried but wow, great job.

She agreed to groom at my house from now on and use my tub and dryer and table since it'd be easier for all of us and since I have better tools (she's just starting out).

All in all, GREAT experience. She didn't ask for extra money or even say anything about thr price.

I think ill do this monthly :)

That is awesome! I spent $30 doing it myself because we kept running out of water, shampoo, the dryer kept shutting off......I finally ran out of cash and had to leave with a wet dog.
