Grill safety reminder

It's grill season again and I wanted to remind everyone of the danger of the GRILL BRUSH! Speaking from experience keep it up and away from your dogs! They love to eat the metal bristles and this is NOT good. Have a safe and happy summer.

Boy you just brought back some memories....my Old English Sheepdog loved to try to chew the grill brush. He also used to steal sandpaper to chew on when my dad was doing his woodworking! Had to watch that dog like a hawk!

This sounds right up Dudley's alley! I will keep an eye on him for sure! Although, lucky for us right now, he is still short. :)

Someone posted this last year and since then my grill brush has been stored inside the grill when not in use. Gabe will eat literally anything, and it got me worried that he might actually try it...(he has eaten brillo pads).
I keep the butane lighter under there too.
This is a great reminder for the season. It was something I had just never thought of. Now I realize how easy it would be for one of them to ingest the metal bristles.

Now we will keep it in the grill when not in use! ;)

It was me, last year after seeing Dixie's x ray and the metal pieces just beyond her stomach, she was a very sick dog for awhile.

My Siberian, Scarlett, used to steal sandpaper. I don't think she ever swallowed any - I'd always take it away from her - it probably helped clean her teeth though.
