Just a reminder for those who have not sent in your registration forms yet. I would like to have all registrations form in 2 weeks before the event to that would make it July 9th. I have to give the caterer a final count around that time. BUT at the last minute if you decide you can come please note that you can still come. I am sure the caterer will have plenty of food for everyone AND you can just pay your registration fees when you get here. I don't want anyone to feel like they cannot come.
Also in a few weeks I will be reposting the food menu that we posted earlier. In case someone signed up to bring something and they cannot come we can get someone else to bring it.
Also I will be posting directions and maps to my house after the first of July as well as set up a time schedule so everyone will know what is happening at what time.
I am rounding up tables. I figure with the raffle/auction items as well as tables to be able to sit and eat we will need about 20 tables. I have about a dozen lined up already. I don't think I'll have a problem getting more as I have a friend who is an auctioneer. He may let me use tables if he has some to spare that weekend. I'll keep you posted. As far as chairs, I contacted my church and I can use all the metal folding chairs they have so plenty of chairs will be available.
I plan to have a large tent 20 x 40 down near the pond so everyone can have shade of some sort while the fun is going on. I plan to put another tent 18 x 20 for eating up near the food with tables set up in it. The food will be on tables in my grooming shop so the bugs will not be a problem and it is air conditioned so that will help the food not spoil. The raffle items will be in Gary's workshop which is attached to my grooming/boarding facility. All and all Annie and I have worked this much out so far. Thanks Annie for all your suggestions!!!
Can you tell I am getting excited....6 weeks from this Friday. Oh, if anyone want to come a few days early--that is fine. I am only grooming dogs Monday and Tuesday of that week in order to help get things done. Annie I know you are not working so if you could come that would be great. Anyone else is more than welcome to come help set things up....
