Hey gang,
I'm an in the middle of some Instructor training for the American Red Cross (and Girl Scouts USA) and I am hoping someday to be certified to also teach Pet First Aid/CPR.
If I were interested in having Newfs used for some of the First Aid part of the course (splinting is primarily what I'm thinking), is there a particular behavior cert for the Newfs I should seek? I can't tell if it's behavior or therapy, or if it should be both.
My hope is someday to teach for Girl Scouts, a Pet First Aid co-sponsored with local NCA Therapy dogs or other such certified dogs. I just think practicing some of the skills on a living, breathing animal, would be much more beneficial and real.
Is there anything like this already in existence? I don't want to recreate the wheel, unless of course that wheel hasn't been created!
