feathers on hind legs

How can I keep my newfie clean when she urinates. The urine dribbles all down her feathers, short of hosing her back end any other suggestions?

Yeah, what I did is I just sort of demonstrated to my groomer exactly where the urine dribbled down (the upper insides of her rear legs). Sometimes when you say Sanitary Clip, they think of doing only the immediate area when in a long coated breed it should be inclusive of the inner thighs, at least on a female anyway...

Good luck!

Sometimes it's unavoidable if a dog has a ton of coat. Trimming back the feathers can help though.

I'm still trying to be more brave with a scissor and thinning shears. I do use my clippers on MissM for a sanitary clip though. I start halfway up her inner leg and trim both sides to about two inches long. She's so heavy coated that it's not seen.
Another thing I do for her is keep a supply of baby wipes and after she goes out to potty, I wipe her down too. It helps. She's 11 this month.

I do the sanitary too......Gandolph has a cottonball tuft of hair on his man thingy and I even have to trim that.......Im not a fan of trimming dingle berries so I clip that area with clippers and wipe as needed.

Myra got a pair of pants today! I still want to take the clippers right down the middle...do any others do that?
