Favorite Training Book

I am adding books to the NCA sites through our Amazon.com link- this is a fundrasier for Rescue & Health Challenge- 5% of the price goes to the Charitable Trust - what I would like to know is- what is your favorite puppy training book- what do you recommend to beginners if you place puppies or rescues? If you are a new/recent puppy owner what books/videos/DVD's were most helpful to you?

Definately "The Newfoundland Puppy" by Judi Adler.
However, having said that, I don't think she sells her books on Amazon, does she?

I really enjoyed "The Other End of the Leash".

I thought The Complete Idiot's Guide to Positive Dog Training was really useful for a first time dog owner/ trainer. Pretty much everything we learned in our puppy training class was outlined in the same way in that book.

"Newfoundland," by Emmy Bruno, and of course, Judi Adler's puppy training book. I find Bruno's book very informative regarding the breed. I realize it's more of a breeder's book, but she really touches on very important early training issues.
