Experiment gone wrong

Normally the pups aren't allowed in our room at night, but since my wife was working last night, I thought I'd see how it would go.

Not sure this is conducive to a good nights sleep...

I would let my dogs but hubby says not on the bed or the furniture...I sneak them on the sofa every so often...no need to tell hubby! LOL.

My Newf has taken to my bed when I'm not sleeping in it. I do not normally allow him to sleep with me because he isn't careful about stepping on Daddy when he moves around. We'll just leave it at that...

Normal to me Ha ha, Love it....I love the snuggle of a newfie......the thing i miss most about Yussie as she was so very quiet and sweet. Would slip on the bed for about 10 minutes before the lights went off and snuggle and off she would go.....same thing in the morning when the alarm went off, quick snuggle.............Rituals are what you miss most when one of your dogs passes and they all have their individual little ones. You do not realise until they are gone how much of a habit it is...............

As a wee one, my first newf/newf mix Bear used to sleep on the inside of my twin sized bed. The neighbor's who originally owned him always left him outside, so once he entered my life, he entered my bed, and he loved it so much he stayed all night next to me. He just loved to be loved.

What used to crack me up and bring the biggest smile and fill my world with enjoyment, was every morning when the alarm would go off, he'd stretch by putting his feet against the wall and push...he always moved the bed a few feet but he was the BESTEST alarm clock I ever had. Thank you so much for reminding me of this :)

Perfectly normal but like most slip off as they get to hot. Unless they are in a jealousy game the stand off could take a while. LOL

That is cute. Obi likes to snuggle on the bed but when it comes time to sleep he heads for the floor. He is supposed to lie at the foot of the bed but he does try to get his head on the pillow.

I'm jealous of all of you whose dogs are not holy terrors on the bed! In the past week I've had to start enforcing the No Dogs On the Bed rule again because of... Horrific humping. He only does it on/near our bed so...no more bed for him! It's really psychologically disturbing.
