I do not think that means a hot summer. Mine have been doing this for a few years now. I think the weather is goofed up! LOL!

Yes! Gitche was blowing her coat like crazy last week. She was groomed on Thursday so that has helped a bit.

Does that mean spring is almost here?

You should have seen my yard today....between bathes I take the blow dryer to them and then comb them out....4 newfs and hair absolutely everywhere...! no different this year then any other.

Yep..the Goldens too. Remember, they shed when it starts staying lighter longer. It has to do with the light changing, not the temps!

They'll do it again late summer, when you'd think they'd be putting IN coat for the winter. ha

The Spring molt is definitely on for us too! Just removed a ton of hair from Ayasha last night! Barely made a dent! Still SO much hair to remove. I haven't even attempted to deal with Boum yet!

Morgans been on the table twice this weekend. I think she's starting but it's hard to tell since this is my first newf.
How old is Morgan? Ayasha is just over 2 and this year is noticeably worse than last year. I think it can take a while before they really blow coat! Trust me, you will have NO doubt they are blowing their coat when the time comes. The amount of hair is just unreal. :)

With our temperatures now in the 70's and sometimes 80's.. the coat blow has begun. I've been keeping up with the MCK. What I think makes it easier for me is that with our climate, his "winter" coat is a good deal lighter than those of you in colder climes :)
