Dudley's time came too soon...

Well, this totally sucks.

We lost Dudley to a pneumothorax caused by a fall he took getting up on Saturday. X-Rays also confirmed a Splenic Tumor (grapefruit size) which may have been the cause of the fall.

My heart is broken to pieces and I cannot even breathe.

Goodbye my soul puppy - please wait at the bridge for me.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Dudley. My Hannah will be 12 next month and is carrying a large splenic tumor as well.
I remember when you got sweet Dudley. So many of our dear seniors leaving us these days.

Thanks, everyone. I still cannot breathe or even say certain words (like OK when his brother still eats - that was their release word). I just want to scratch the area between his eyes one more time. I want to give him a carrot slice one more time. I want to hug him and feel his head sink onto my shoulder one more time.

I just want to go back in time to Saturday and keep him next to me so he never falls and therefore never collapses his lung.

I just want to hear him lumber up to my office door and wait there to see if I turn around. If I didn't he would lightly BOOF to get my attention. I want to hear that boof one more time.

I want to hold his huge paw in my hand one more time.

I want to wipe his face and jowls one more time and be disgusted (lol).

I want to run from the hanging flooger before he wipes it on my knee. Just one more time.

Just one more day would be great...

Heartbreaking...many of us have been there and if we love more we will be there again. It is just so hard loosing our babies, no matter what age. I am so sad for you!
