CT members question

i have a question for any of the CT members, is there a good place you can take your dog swimming... we are not sure where we can take sadie swimming.... so we are looking for suggestions...

I heard from a local acquaintance that they can go in the water at the public beach in Milford till Memorial Day. May be true of other public beaches too?

We have a cottage on LI sound with beachfront so we let them swim there...kind of against the rules but technically we "own" the beach in front of the cottage and so far the neighbors don't mind.

Near me there are several lakes, rivers and streams where they're allowed...or not, not allowed. Check with your local dog walking friends, people with labs and other water breeds at dog parks. etc.
