Confused on what to feed our new puppy

We have heard conflicting information on what we should feed our new Newfie puppy. Some sources say to stay away from any of the puppy formulas and choose instead, the adult formula because of growth issues. Other sources say to use Large Breed Puppy because it contains the extra nutrients, yet is lower in fat than traditional puppy foods. Is there any kind of general conscensus on this issue? This is our first Newfie puppy. We have always fed our puppies "puppy" formula foods before, but we have not had a giant breed puppy until now. I just want to do right by this puppy. I don't want to cause any growth issues, but I also don't want to compromise on nutrition. Thank you for any input you all may have.

Congratulations on your new puppy!
Can you ask your breeder what he/she thinks for food?
If not, I'm real new and not much help, but you'll find a whole bunch of information if you search under food and diet, how to read labels, and other helpful information for deciding. It was very helpful when we were trying to find a good food. Also, on the Newf-L list site (sorry not sure of the link maybe someone here can help) different people who have Newfs, including breeders, have listed lots of differents brands of foods.
Right now we're feeding California Naturals Chicken and Rice (we chose no puppy food because the protein is too high) by Natura, and our Newf is 14 weeks. I couldn't really say whether it's a good food or not since we've only been using it for 3 weeks.
Good luck in your search!
