Clara took Best of Opposite at the recent SENC Regional Specialty!

A few weeks before the Regional, her brother Karl came to Louisville to compete. The second day of the show, Karl took Breed, Clara took BOS,
and Nolan took Winners Dog for a major - his 2nd time ever in the ring. That was a great day for TurfTide! :sunflower:

Nolan - Addy's son (from the miracle litter)

We do plan to head to RI, Angela...are you making the trek this year? Surely wish it was more centrally located. 2 years in a row in NE - yuck. I bet Mary Kay is in heaven!

Oh I am so happy to see Nolan! He is just as spectacular as I knew he would be. Gives me goosebumps. I'll always love that boy.

Congrats on all the wins for everyone! What a weekend and what a celebration you must have had!

I know nothing about this kind of event and the titles sometimes baffle me (best of opposite?) but the dogs sure look fantastic. Congratulations!

Cathy C. - it can seem complicated when starting to understand dog showing.

A regional event is sponsored by a local club and usually has a lot of Newfs competing. This Regional had over 40 in attendance. After they award Best of Breed which in this case was a male, Best of Opposite is then awarded to the best Newf of the opposite sex. This is what Clara was awarded. In Louisville, Karl went Best of Breed and then Clara went BOS.

I'll hold off on explaining Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Reserve...:groovy:

My fabulous Jill took BOS at 2 National Specialties (over 200 females competing). When it was announced, a show novice commented that she knew what a SOB was, but not BOS!!!:roflmao:

Thanks for the explanation and the giggle. Now that IS quite an achievement! Both dogs! But as I said, they really look fantastic :sunflower:
