Just sitting here thinking about an idea our vet had, they are having a memorial tree for all the loves lost this yr, they sent a paper heart for us to decorate and return to hang on the tree. They are having a eulogy andmemorial service Dec 13th, i think it will be comforting. Since so many of our luvs have past this yr and also previous yrs I thought maybe we could post pics of a Christmas ( holiday) decoration and our luvs who have left us.......sort of like a rainbow christmas right here, Ill begin by remembering my sweet Glory , Garret and my heart and soul Mas Piggyluv. 3 Precious souls who will be the shining stars in the sky this yr.Please join me in sharing the pics and the love we still have for our angels

merry Christmas Mr Piggs

Glory always loved to get dressed for the holidays

and garret, dear sweet garret, because of his mental illness we didnt stress him with decorations but here he is, rest well sweet boy!!!rest!!!

This weekend I feel sad.....it will have been a year since Tobias passed.
he was a true gentle giant.....so tall and so very sweet.
he gave us heartache and sweet memories. I wished I could have given him a longer happy life. he suffered so in his life before us, but he still loved every person he met. It still gets to me that he had a fractured jaw and no-one could figure why he would not eat......My sweet Tobias, I miss you beautiful.
I will have to get some pics out of my other Angels.....I bet they are all playing Zoomies up there
I love the way he looks straight into the camera in our last years Christmas card

Christmas seems to bring out the best and saddest memories. We lost Winston on New Year's Eve last year so this Christmas is we are reliving some difficult memories. It's also our third Christmas without Benson. I still have their Christmas stockings and it's hard not to hang them out.

I would like to share this story with you because it exemplifies what Christmas is all about. The year was 2008 - our first Christmas with Winston, our senior boy who we fostered and eventually adopted through rescue. It was also Benson's last Christmas with us though we didn't know that at the time.

I was recently unemployed and my father was dying of pancreatic cancer. Needless to say we were struggling with finding any kind of Christmas spirit in our lives that year. Thank God for our newfies. They helped keep some joy in our household.

Two very kind and thoughtful angels from this forum sent us a huge box of presents for our fur kids with no explaination except a note to our four newfies from Santa Paws. We waited until Christmas Eve to hand out the goodies. It was such a magical evening and the memories we have of that evening will always be cherished. I know I've thanked these two people before but I want to thank them again for their kindness. It's something I remember each Christmas and has inspired me to pay it forward.

Needless to say I took lots of pictures and created a slide show of that very special Christmas Eve in 2008. Here is a link to it. http://fototime.com/4B01EC1799A12BC/convx264.mp4

  that was a beautiful slide show.

Tobias was given his Santa Paws early last year from Sydney and he loved the green crunchy frog he was given. We still have the frog in a special place

Ronnie and Sue, I'm so sorry for your losses around the holidays. :(

This is our first Christmas without our puppa. She brought us such joy during gift opening. She could open presents like a pro and was so darn cute doing it. With her birthday only a week before Christmas we were able to experience her gift opening multiple times over the holidays. It's going to be so empty without her this year.

Here is a pic of Ebony and Santa at our first show. What a wonderful weekend that was! Our first time in the ring together and Ebony not only qualified, but took High in Trial. We have so many great memories together...I just wish I could remember without so many tears.
Miss you puppa! Hope you get to rip open lots of packages at the Bridge this holiday season.

I'm smiling through the tears too. These are wonderful memories and ones to hold dear to the heart always. Becky, I don't know if one can ever remember without tears. I still have tears when I remember but....the ache in the heart has healed.
