Chins and Blazes

Greetings! First time newf owner of a 7-month old named Sven. He's solid black with a white blaze on the chest.

Does anybody have any ideas for getting the blaze white during bathing time? It looks kind of dingy, even freshly washed. I use a black pearl shampoo on him.

Also, does anybody have ideas for keeping the chin area a bit cleaner? The area starts getting pretty rank after a while.

Anything you've tried would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome Karin. Kodi, now a year old is also black with the white tuxedo marking. I know what you mean about trying to keep the white hair clean. I too, would be open to any suggestions on how to keep the white hair white between groomings.

YES there is a wonderful shampoo out there. It is by EZ Groom called Crystal White Shampoo. It is really the best to keep the white really bright and white. (get out your sunglasses--you will need them to look at your dog) Just heat it in the microwave for a bit and WA-LA your dog will glisten. They also have a shampoo for black and brown coats. Here is the website www.EZ-Groom.com

Karen,
You are so right about the smell under the chin. We are also new owners of a 6 month old newf. I have ordered the shampoo as well. Can't wait to try it.
thank you all once again

I received a phone call from the owner of "EZ-groom" today. He told me about
"several orders" recently and most of them said they found out about ez groom from Newf net. He was very appreciative of the orders. I heard about his business and how the enzymes in the shampoo enhance the colors. He was very pleasant. Just wanted to pass this on. He did say to use as warm water as possible which helps the ezymes work.
