carrots

One of the things Luna and Raven love as an alternative chomper is carrots.

They are getting approx 3 each a day ,they don't seem interested in the chew toys we have given them .

Is 3 carrots a day too much ,am going to try apples and pears but worried about sugar intake.
They are getting an adult food with the right calcium/phosphorus ratio and are obviously ravenous as only pups are

Orca loves carrots too! I freeze and limit to two per day since our feeding philosophy believes dogs can have a hard time digesting vegetables.

Elvis gets baby carrots as treats. Carrots are high in sugar too, so switching it up with an apple won't make a difference - if anything apples have more fiber.

Maggie loves carrots too. I just mentioned in a previous post how she steals them from the garden. We just find the chewed, undigested bits in the yard sometimes....:run:

My dogs love carrots but do not digest them,so I too buy baby carrots and they get fruit,about one cup every few days

Mine love carrots too. But since dogs cannot digest raw vegetables, you might have to see how it goes.

So far we have had a few multicoloured poops but digesting them OK.
Working carefully on what else they will eat .
