I know this topic has been mentioned before - and I searched past posts as well - but how rare are blue eyes? I know that they are not a trait that should be bred for - but I have to say I think they are stunning. I'd love to someday have a newf with blue eyes.

my grey newf had blue eyes until she grew a bit, than they turned a kind of grey brown shade.

My grey newf also had blue yes until about 8months. Still, her eyes are much lighter and more alert in appearance then anyother Newf I've seen (almost a soft grey/blue). I'm not aware of any staying blue longer then that.
