We set our special girl free today. It was time, no doubt. We are so thankful to have had a few extra weeks with her. Just last Wed she climbed up on the couch with me for some snuggle time. Been a while since she had done that

Even though we knew it was time to send her along, our hearts are so heavy. She was an absolute sweetheart and made us laugh and smile all the time. We have so many wonderful memories of her

Safe journey Maia Moo. (Or Moo Moo as my daughter called her) We will forever love and miss you

Oh so very sorry Mary K and your daughter, although we know when its time it is still very hard to let go. May she be running now with all the other NN's who have gone before her.
Hugs to you both.

It breaks my heart when I log on and see a new post in the Rainbow Bridge. So many of the NN newfs are gone. They all feel like family. No matter how 'prepared' we think we are it is never easy even when we know it is for the best. Sorry to hear Maia crossed the bridge. Like Angela said, she is running with all the other NN newf who have passed.

Thanks so much everyone. House sure is empty without her. So far only Aeva is noticing her buddy being gone. She's moping around the house and staying in her crate, door open.

I have so many wonderful memories of Mai's. These pix were taken a couple years ago. She used to grab a baby and try to rush me off to bed early....LOL. She'd sit on the ottoman where I had my feet resting and try to guilt me into going to bed. Often times she won.

Another one that stands out and makes me smile every time i think about it was when she was on the road with the handler hitting the shows. She had done well in the Midwest and they were heading back home. My handler texted me and said look at what Maia's doing!! There she was, swimming in the middle of Lake Michigan having a grand time:D:D Girl certainly knew how to have a good time!

I'm so sorry to read this news, Mary K. They live big lives and they leave big holes. I wish they could live forever.

I'm so sorry to hear about your girl, Maia. ((HUGS))

All of the old ones, the ones who were pups when we had our Maggie and Lucy, are going. Hope they're all enjoying a big Newife reunion on the bridge.
