Howdy everybody. We're getting into a very busy time of year - U.S. Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, etc. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that we are planning our first ever Ontario Newf Get2gether/Newf rescue fund raiser in Bancroft, Ontario, Friday, September 17 to Sunday, September 19, 2010. Once we recover from the holiday season, we will be planning in earnest so watch for updates and don't forget to mark your calendars. Meanwhile, to our American neighbours, I hope that tomorrow, you will all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :grouphug:

I can't wait until the planning starts I am looking forward to seeing all the beautiful dogs and meeting NN people. I will be watching for updates.

:dance01::dance01::dance01: We are very excited for the opportunity to visit Ontario and meet our NewfNet pals..This will be our first trip to Ontario and we are going to make a mini-vacation of it....Thanks to all for providing us this fun opportunity(and by the way, Scarlet is excited to meet her NN friends also;))

We are so totally coming provided the date doesn't change. Sandy will be done with the beach club by that weekend so we can ALL come. Whoo! Pooka will FINALLY cross the border.

Someone warn the Mounties.

Great date for us too...we would love to come and see everyone! Marcus thinks he is quite the "globe trotter" as this will be his third visit to Cananda!

We are new around here but we're racking up the posts in a hurry. I like it here! We are also looking forward to this get-together! We're not sure about a hotel room vs. cottage vs. camping but we'll figure that out later. As I mentioned in the Welcome Wagon section, I grew up about 90 minutes south of Bancroft and I am always up for an excuse to get out of the city. But a weekend of doggie fun is just plain AWESOME! I can't wait!

We are also open to suggestions and ideas. If there is anything anybody would like to do or see or whatever at our get2gether, let us know and if we can make it happen, we will - events, auctions, raffles, swimming, carting, grooming demonstrations, Newfie merchandise and fun stuff, food, music, dancing on tables :alc:, fun doggie events ... Got the picture???

Okay, I talked it over with "the boss" and we are definitely interested in a hotel room for at least Friday and Saturday nights.

I can't wait! Bojie adores swimming in Canadian waters...it's like nothing he's ever felt before. I on the other hand, adore bathing myself in Tim Hortons...

My wife is thinking she might like to make a documentary film about the weekend. My brother is a professional editor so he could polish it up nicely. What do people think about that idea?

A few years ago when we had our first Newf Fun Day (Drool Fest), Gloria put pictures together on Power Point & set it to music. We gave everybody a CD after she had it done. It was a great souvenir.
