Any GTG Planned for Nationals?

I think there is a novice class which may be right for you. I was supposed to be in it, but then I won with my boy, and according to the rules, I could not go into it. I wish the rules were different, because I love handling, but I am not good at it yet. Whatever you decide, you should at some time, try handling for yourself. I think you and your Newf will love the experience together.

I ALMOST took the handling seminar hosted by a member of the CNC this past weekend. It featured a really well known handler. Anyway, I probably should have taken it...

A dog who has already finished it's championship can't show in the Novice class. His girl would be in veteran sweeps I am guessing.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!

The REALLY ironic part of it is that my girl turns 7 the EXACT date (May 2) the Veterans are showing!

I wanted to take it too. I hope whoever went, will let us know what they thought of it. I'd love to take a class...or two.

Brad,
Thought I might throw in that there is a Jr. and adult handling seminar being presented at the Specialty on Tues at 2:30 I believe. Karen Mammano is the presenter. Should be a great learning experience for any age!

Maybe we can pick a day when there isn't confirmation/obedience and meet early for breakfast at the host hotel...Thursday maybe? Would love to see everyone.

Brad, I can handle Calza for you if you want. I'm not a professional handler, but I show Chloe myself and sometimes take my friends dogs in. Im not going to be bringing Chloe, but am planning on bringing my show clothes so I can go in if anybody needs me. I would be honored to take Chloe's half sister in, especially as a veteran!

You should definitely enter her, its great to see the veterans out there! If you want to hire a pro, you should, but if you just want her to go in for fun and not have to pay a handler let me know.

I am seriously considering taking you up on that. Also going to talk to her breeder about taking her up on the offer to groom Calza for showing...

I hope you do Brad! I love to show, and am sad that I can't take Chloe (only a 44 hour drive or $1200 flight!).

So #1 I think you should enter her because I think it will be a great experience for you both.
And #2 I would be so happy to show her!
