Any CT local therapy dogs?

Newtown has many people in need. If you have availability contact your therapy organization to see how you can help.

There are wonderful teams from out of state but it would be nice to see more locals. :)

Hey Mary. Maggie doesn't have her certification yet, but we're taking steps to work on it. She'll be taking her CGC next month. If you find out about, or wanted to organize, an event that didn't require the certification, we would certainly be willing to help out. We're about 3 hours away so it would have to be a weekend, but have friends in the area we could stay with if necessary.

One of Maia's kids will be there. His name is Socrates and he and his owner are awesome!!

I know there are many children who are in need of comfort during this time but it sounds like the Police Officers who responded to the scene are also in great need of comfort as well. Perhaps a visit to them would be in order?

It's great to hear that there are therapy organizations and teams working to support those in need in Newtown. If you have availability and are interested in helping out, I would definitely recommend reaching out to your local therapy organization to see how you can get involved.

While it's great to have teams from out of state come in and assist, having local support can make a big difference for the community. By volunteering your time and skills, you could have a positive impact on the lives of those in need while also helping to build a stronger community.

Remember, even small gestures of kindness can go a long way, so don't hesitate to get involved and make a difference.
