Just thought I would send a little brag to all the Newf Netters watching the dog show tonight.. The Newf, Champse is Bear's biological cousin. I was so proud to see one of my breeder's babies represented even though he didn't win.

I was just wondering if Newfs ever get cold and if so, how cold is too cold for them? Bear never seems to get cold. He has even swam in a lake that was partially frozen over with snow all over the ground.

Bear got TWO bracelets! Another spoiled newfie.

Bear decided his life was too difficult this weekend. As he rested he needed to place something cool on his forehead to relax him and bring him back to his "happy place". :D

Just a quick question- I give Bear Ester C because my breeder recommended it. Recently though, a question was posed on another forum I frequent saying that C was bad for a Newfs liver and kidneys. Is there any truth to this? Thanks in advance!

Finally, after weeks of using the steps to get in, Bear slowly conquered his fear and dove into the pool! Bear looking carefully at the water... I think I can do it... Ready or not, here I come! Look at me Mom! I did it!!

Yesterday we went to a bar-b-que at my in-laws house. Bear wasn't allowed in to eat with us becasue he had played with the hose and was wet. So we ate inside, neddless to say he was very unhappy with our decision to leave him outside as we ate. He barked and hit the glass door with is paw, and...

Last week we took Bear in for an x-ray because we thought he chipped a bone or something because he was limping after two days of rest following a rough dog park experience. When the UNCLEAR xrays came back the vet said he definately had elbow dysplasia and that we should get him neutered...

Here I am this at our breeder's house this weekend. I just loved all of the beautiful dogs I got to play with there.You can never feel more loved than you do from getting a big Newf hug!

On our way for a walk and Bear is ready and waiting! He has his blinker on and is holding his leash.Such a good boy!

I was just wondering what supplements you use with your dogs? I am thinking of adding some to his diet because I haven't so far and everyone else seems to be. I just don't know what, besides joint supplements to add. Any suggestions would be helpful.
