You mentioned in your comment to charityd about loading up his backpack when you want to tire him out. What exactly is loaded? I dont have a newfie, but would like to get one sometime sooner rather than later, and I want to be able to work w/ the dog, but NOT over work it.
We are waiting to hear back from our breeder. If we will get a puppy before the end of 2009 then we are not going to adopt prior to getting a newf puppy. I have to see who my breeder is breeding then my wife and I will talk more about adopting first. I do hope we get a newf puppy before 2010 though, waiting is getting painful.
Jen, what is Charlie's ideal weight? I always thought he was a tall boy from your pictures. Zeke will be a year old on the 27th and he is at 135 as well. I don't like that I can feel his vertebrae. Seems to me he needs more meat on his bones. Right now he stands 31 inches at the shoulder.
How's Charlie doing Jen? Still shedding? Have you relaxed on the cleaning, a little?
