    Dog Collar

Can anyone recommend a collar that won't cause Tova to mat? Right now we have a nylon one and it's causing horrible mats around her neck. I've heard the rolled leather ones won't cause matting. Can anyone confirm this? TIA

    Nutrious but low cal filler

We recently upped Tova's food intake from 2 cups to 3 cups per day. She's eating Orijen 6 Fish. However, I noticed today that she has already put on some unnecessary weight. I'm going to cut back on her food but that's going to make Ms Thang very unhappy. I'd welcome some suggestions on what...

    Help! He's Eating My House!!

Ok, Titan is now 5 months old and he's baaaad!! He's eating everything! We recently moved from Ontario to Manitoba and Titan for the most part has adjusted well to the move. He's always done the typical puppy chewing but now it's out of control. Him and Tova have a nice big dog run to play...

    Orijen and Gas

Does anyone else have an issue with their dog being gassy on Orijen? We've been weaning Tova onto the 6 Fish and wow!! I kept blaming my husband but turns out it's Tova. She can clear the house!! I'm hoping that as her system adjusts more to the change in diet, this issue will go away! At...

    Burning Grass

Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can save my grass. Tova's urine is burning it terribly already. Last year we tried the pills you can buy to prevent it (don't remember what it was called) but they went right through her and I don't want to put her through that again. I was hoping...

    Restless Puppy

Was wondering if anyone else has this problem and maybe some helpful advice. We are finding that our 11 wk old puppy Titan is very restless in the evenings. Unless we put him into his "room" (crate) he just paces around the house whining and repeatedly "asks" to go outside. We'll put him out...

    New Puppy

We are considering adding a new member to our family. Of course it's another Newf, I don't think we'll ever consider any other breed!! Tova is now 14 months, she's grown up so fast and she's an absolute angel! When considering bringing a new puppy into the "pack" how much impact does the sex...

    Stubborn Pup

We are in desperate need of advice! In all ways but one Tova is an extremely well behaved puppy. The past few days when we go to put her outside she does not want to go! We literally have to push and pull to get her out the back door. She's now 11 months old and weighs close to 100lbs so...

    Tova's First Swim

Actually, it's her second, but went just as well. She's a natural. Unlike what I have heard, and worried about, she uses her hind legs, so I don't have to try to teach her. She looks horrible until she dries out though.

    New Pics for Tova

Our new pup is getting bigger! 17 weeks, and 31.5 lbs. I know she's small, but that's a good thing. Her new favorite spot, under our swing, which makes it hard to use. She won't fit much longer though.

ORIJEN Large Breed Puppy VS. ORIJEN Adult

We feed our Tova (she's 15 wks) ORIJEN Large Puppy. Everyone says no puppy food. There doesn't seem to be a discernable difference between the puppy and adult food as far as protein, calcium, phosphorus and calories. Is there something else we should be looking at? So far her weight gain has...

    Hi From Ottawa Valley

Hi! We recently brought Tova into our family. She is now 15 weeks old and I can't remember what life was like before we got her. She is our first Newf but definitely not our last!
