Today Onyx turns 7! She'll have a proper "senior" day - lying around, move just a smidge to get a cooler spot, then some more lying around. A little something special for dinner and then even more lying around! Happy Birthday, Ms. Onyx!

After more downs than ups, I'm sad to say that I will be helping Ms. Vida/Blaze to cross the bridge shortly. In the past few days for every little step forward she's taken three back. Unfortunately, the distemper has taken its toll and the best thing is to let her run free. We'll miss her...

I really need NN prayers and healing thoughts right now.... I'm fostering a pup for the SPCA I work for, she's a mix that we had signed over to us as AC who's had a pretty rough start in life. Blaze is approximately 9 weeks old, and when she was signed over she had a severe case of pneumonia...

Today, our second Foster Failure turns 2. Phoenix has come so far in the time that we've had him - he will even climb up on the couch with Onyx now. He's SOOO jealous when Onyx is getting the attention and he isn't. Special birthday treats later on and lots of loving as usual. Happy Birthday...

Got some WONDERFUL news yesterday when I went to the shelter - Ms. Tess has found a forever home!!! Her new mom can't wait to get her - in fact, Tess goes home today!!! We're going to miss our special girl, she's got such spirit and so much to give. Hopefully her mom will keep us updated on...
